HISTORY of
GROVE JUNIOR HIGH AND MIDDLE SCHOOL

Grove Junior High was built 1957-58, as a separate wing on the west side of Weston Hall, by local contractor Barrett Construction Company for $291,000.00. Later, a smaller addition was added by local contractor Barrett Construction Company for $47,370.00.

Grove Junior High opened in the fall of 1978, and remained a junior high until the last class of 1979, consisting of grades 7-9.
Grove Middle School began in the fall of 1979, and continues until the current class of 1996. Grove Middle School consisted of grades 7-8.
