Paris native Jerre Allen Montgomery, 57, of Nashville died of cancer June 17, 2008. The body was creamated. No service or visitation was scheduled. Eastland Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Nashville was in charge. She was the daughter of Evan and Jewel Montgomery, both deceased. Her mother was a teacher and guidance counselor in the Henry County School System for 46 years before retiring in 1993. Jerre Montgomery was a real estate broker, attorney and developer. A graduate of Grove High School. She had a degree from George Peabody Colledge of Vanderbilt University and earned her law degree from Nashville School of Law. She was a member of the Tennesse Bar Association. She also taught in the Nashville Public School System in the mid 1970's. Memorials may me made to the Homesafe, Inc., 127 S. Water Avenue. Gallatin, Tennessee, 37066. Homesafe is a domestic Violence Shelter.
