Leon Brisendine Fred Leon Brisendine, 75, of Paris died Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2005, at the Henry County Med- ical Center emergency room. He was married on April 11,1953, to the former Merrye Hall, who survives. His funeral will be at noon Saturday at McEvoy Funeral Home. Roger Banks of East Wood Church of Christ, where Brisendine was a member, will officiate. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery near Cottage Grove. Selected as pallbearers are Elmer Broach, Everett Moody, Leon Bumpus, Ray Tucker, Frank Parker and Jimmy Wynn. Visitation is planned 4-8 p.m. today and after 11 a.m. Saturday. |
Born March 29, 1930, in Paris, he was a son of Fred Lee Brisendine and Florence Miller Brisendine, now both deceased. Brisendine worked for 34-1/2 years at Holley carburetor plant, formerly of Paris. In addition to his wife, he leaves two sons: James Stephen Brisendine of Paris and Fred L. Brisendine Jr. of Tupelo, Miss.; one sister: Joan Cain of Semi Valley, Calif; One brother: Jimmy L. (Shannon) Brisendine of Kansas City, Kan.; three grandchildren: Amanda, Aron and Stephen Allan Brisendine and Brisendine; and two great-grandchildren: Zoie and Aden Bowden. He also was preceded in death by a sister: Wilma Mathis. |
