Obituary

Stephen Michael Brown of Memphis was born on March 25, 1943 to William Morris Brown, Sr. and Mary Edmonia Webb Brown.

He passed on April 7, 2015 at the age of 72. Stephen was raised in Paris, Tennessee and moved to Memphis, Tennessee where he graduated from Treadwell High School.

Stephen earned Bachelor Degrees from Memphis State University in English and Journalism and a Juris Doctor Degree in Law. Stephen was an active member of the Memphis Bop Club and a devout member of Mullins United Methodist Church.

Stephen is survived by his children, Stephanie Brown Hopkins (Mark) and Shawn Michael Brown (April); grandchildren, Addison, Carter, Riley, Griffin, Ella and Mason; and brothers, Morris Brown, Jr., Tim Brown and Johnny Brown.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, April 10 from 5-7:00 pm at Memphis Funeral Home 5599 Poplar Ave.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 11 at 2:00 pm at Mullins United Methodist Church at 4 North Mendenhall Rd. with a private interment to follow in the church cemetery.
