Marvin Luther Bunn Jr. The funeral service for former Paris resident Marvin Luther Bunn Jr. of Charlotte, N.C. will be at 1 p.m. Friday at McEvoy Funeral Home. An uncle, John Carsey Huffman, will officiate. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Friday. Bunn, 71, died Sunday, Oct. 22, 2006, at Saturn Nursing Home in Charlotte. His wife Sharon Power Bunn survives. They were married on Aug. 28, 1976. Born July 21, 1935, in Paris, he was the son of Marvin Luther Bunn Sr., and Elizabeth Huffman Bunn Vance, both deceased. Bunn was a 1953 graduate of Grove High School. He received his degree in electrical engineering from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. He worked as an engineer for the aerospace program. A family member said he was instrumental in developing technology for the programs wind tunnel. He later worked in sales, marketing and management for several computer companies. In addition to his wife, he leaves two daughters: Lynn (Richard) Loschiavo of Coral Springs, Fla., and Janet (Timothy) Ellis of Deerfield, Fla.; three sons: Samuel (Jennifer Price) Bunn of Huntsville, Ala., Steven (Wendy Jo) Bunn of Chattanooga and Scott Avery of Charlotte; Two grandchildren: Sandra Smith and Lawson Bunn; two uncles: James (Helen) Huffman and John C. (Ann) Huffman, both of Paris; and several other relatives in Paris and Henry County. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Charlotte, 1420 E. 7th St., Charlotte 28204. |
