Brenda Fay Carter ~ Obituary

Brenda Fay Carter, 71, of Paris died on Sunday, Nov. 20, 2016, at Henry County Medical Center.

Her funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at McEvoy Funeral Home, with Rob Martin of First United Methodist Church, where she was a member, officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. Her family and friends will serve as pallbearers, and visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.

She was born on Oct. 16, 1945, in Paris to the late Herman Elliott and Johnnie Frensley Carter.

Ms. Carter was a member of First United Methodist Church in Paris She was an avid gospel and county music enthusiast.

She is also survived by a niece: Christy (Robert) Callison of Henry; a nephew: Jeff (Peggy) Carter of Huntington; six great nieces and nephews: Preston, Kennedy and Landon Carter, Payton Callison and Sydney and Gracie Smith; an uncle: Dorris Allison; and a cousin: John McDougal, along with several Frensley and Turner cousins.

She was also preceded in death by a brother: Larry E. Carter, who died on July 1, 2015.
