William Dale Chenoweth Sr., 72, of
Paris died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004, at Henry County Medical Center. His
funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McEvoy Funeral Home. Gary S. Collier will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Cemetery. Named as pallbearers are Jerry Bell, Robert "Rookie" Edwards, Crockett Mathis and Ed Tayloe; and two of his grandchildren: Derek Chenoweth of Paris and Clint Chenoweth of Gleason. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Grove High School Class of 1950. Visitation is planned from 4-8 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Wednesday. Chenoweth was married May 25, 2000, to the former Glendora Taylor who survives. His first wife, Maunone Mitchell Chenoweth, died Nov. 9, 1998. Born in Murray, Kentucky on Aug. 22, 1932, he was the son of the late Jack H. and Irene Dale Chenoweth. He was a 1950 graduate of Grove High School, where he played tackle on the football team for Coach Robert Jelks. He retired in May 1991 as a chemical operator from Air Products and Chemical Inc. in Calvert City, Kentucky. A family member said he was an avid fisherman. He leaves a daughter; Teresa Ratkowski of Plainview, N.Y.; one son David Mitchell (Christina) Chenoweth of Paris; a stepson: Ricky (Donna) Crowder of Paris; Two other grandchildren: Chad Chenoweth of Gleason and Ryan Ratkowski of Plainview; and a step-granddaughter: Mady Beck of Paris. |
