Bill G. Collins Retired hospital lab director Bill G. Collins, 75, of Golo, Ky., died at 2:13 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2006, in Asheville,N.C. Locally, he leaves a brother, Bobby J. Collins of Paris. His funeral is scheduled at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Bryn Funeral Home in Mayfield. Mark Earheart and Bruce Mason will officiate. Cremation is scheduled after the service. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Chapter Y Goldwing Motorcyle Club in Mayfield, where Collins was a member. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today. Born in Murray on March 29, 1931, he was a son of the late William Henry Collins and Posie Lawson Collins. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Mayfield. He was retired from Woodland Heights Hospital in Lufkin, Texas, and the former Commu- nity Hospital in Mayfield. He was a member of the undefeated 1949 - Grove High School football team. He also leaves two sons: David E. (Mary) Collins of Mayfield and Blake (Judy) Collins of Lexington, Ky.; three grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and one 1 great-grandchild.
