| Sherry Delk Published: Friday, January 23, 2009 12:02 PM CST A graveside service for former Paris and Mayfield resident Sherry Bond Lemar Delk of Jacksonville, Ala., was planned at 10 a.m. today at Memorial Cemetery. There was no visitation. McEvoy Funeral Home handled arrangements. Delk, 63, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2009, at a nursing center in Jacksonville. Born May 4, 1943, in Memphis, she was the daughter of the late W.H. and Marian Keener Lemar. A retired retail worker, she was a Grove High School graduate. She attended Murray State University and Bethel College. She leaves one son: Michael Delk of Birmingham, Ala.; two aunts: Dell McWhorter of California and Catherine Brown of Texas; and five uncles: W.D. Bond Jr., and Herbert Lemar, both of Memphis, and Ken, Harold and Jerald Lemar, all of California. She also was preceded in death by two aunts: Dorothea and Verla Bond; and her grandparents: Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Lemar and Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Bond Sr. |
