Gerald Drummond, 61, of Puryear died
Saturday, March 8, 2008, at Henry County Medical Center. His wife Bethany Beth Mitchell Drummond survives. They were married on Dec. 10, 1983. His funeral will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Ridgeway Funeral Home. John Smith will officiate. Cremation is scheduled after the service. Named as pallbearers are Bobby Lankford, Kelly Rose, Mark Copeland, Ronald Cummings, Bill Robinson, Larry Chappel and Danny Hosford. Born Sept. 13, 1946, in Paris, he was a son of the late Wallace Reed Monk Drummond and Virginia Arnold Drummond. Prior to disability, he worked in the maintenance department at Tecumseh Products in Paris. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, an honorary life member of the Moose Lodge and, according to his wife, an avid sportsman. He also leaves two daughters: Lisa Drummond (Shane) Weaver of Fremont, Ind., and Tracy (David) Collier of Camden, S.C.; two sons: Chad (Laura) Drummond of Paris and Jeff Fitzgerald of Japan; One brother: Don (Judy) Drummond of Paris; and 11 grandchildren: Chris, Kayla and Kelsy Weaver, Zachary and Austin Caulder, Sara and Brannon Fitzgerald, Katie, Hallie and Ian Drummond, Makayla Robinson and Chris Collier. Memorials may be made to the Henry County Spinal Injury Support Group, c/o Mike Wermer, 2250 Perkins Road, Puryear 38251 Visiting is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. today and after noon Wednesday at Ridgeway Funeral Home. |
