COTTAGE GROVE – Peggy Dumas, 73, of Cottage Grove died Friday,
January 30, 2009 at Centennial Medical Center, Nashville.

She was born March 7, 1935 to the late Marvin French and Edna Craig
French in Big Sandy.

Funeral services are Monday, February 2, 11:00 a.m. at LeDon Chapel in
Ridgeway Funeral Home, Paris with Mike Wimberley officiating. Burial is
in Walker Cemetery, Paris. Visitation is at Ridgeway on Sunday, 4:00 to
8:00 p.m.

She is survived by her husband, William T. "Bill" Dumas; daughters, Pam
(Joey) Choate of Cottage Grove and Linda (Dennis) Ziemba of Highlands,
NJ; sister, Pat Bowers of Garland, Texas; brothers, John Henry French of
Paris, and Wilton French of Madison, Al; two grandsons and one
granddaughter.

Besides her father and mother, she was preceded in death by a sister,
Evelyn White Christopher, and granddaughter, Allison Leigh Choate.

She was a member of Cottage Grove Methodist Church. She previously
worked at Rhea Clinic in Paris.

Peggy Dumas

The funeral service for Peggy Dumas of Cottage Grove was scheduled at 11 a.m. today at Ridgeway Funeral Home.

Mike Wimberley was to officiate. Burial was to follow in Walker Cemetery.

Chosen as pallbearers were Ted and Scott Parrish, Bobby Owens, Paul Atkins, Dan Paschall and Richard Wilson.

Visitation was Sunday and today.

Dumas, 73, died Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, at Centennial Hospital in Nashville.

Born in Big Sandy on March 7, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Marvin and Edna Craig French.

Her husband, William T. “Bill” Dumas, survives. They were married on Aug. 17, 1958.

She was a member of Cottage Grove United Methodist Church and was a clerical worker for several years at Rhea Clinic in Paris.

In addition to her husband, she leaves two daughters: Pam (Joey) Choate of Cottage Grove and Linda (Dennis) Ziemba of Highlands, N.J.; one sister: Pat Bowers of Garland, Texas;

Two brothers: John Henry French of Paris and Wilton French of Madison, Ala.; and three grandchildren: Hannah Choate of Cottage Grove, Lucas (Johanna) Choate of Auburn, Ala., and Josh Choate of Dorena, Mo.

She also was preceded in death by a sister: Evelyn White Christopher; and a granddaughter: Allison Leigh Choate.
