Joyce T. Ferguson

The funeral service for Joyce Todd Ferguson of Paris will be at 10 a.m. Friday at McEvoy Funeral Home.

Gary S. Collier and Paul Hudspeth, who is pastor of Paris Community of Christ Church, where Ferguson was a member, will officiate. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Friday.

Ferguson, 76, died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009, at Paris Healthcare Center.

Born Jan. 11, 1933, in Paris, she was a daughter of Jessie Carl “J.C. Dick” Todd and Pearl Johnson Todd Trotter, both deceased.

She was married on June 14, 1985, to Jack Ferguson, who died in 1992.

She leaves two grandchildren: Adam Evans and Kari Leigh Hart Hilt, both of Paris; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and a special friend Debra Spann of Paris.

She also was preceded in death by a daughter: Susan Hart in 1995; a son: Stephen Watson “Bo” Hart in 1989; and five sisters: Elizabeth Todd in infancy, Wilma Brandenburg Boyd, Julia Nicholson, Camille Freeland and Carleen Walker.
