Juanita George, 68, of Dogwood Hills Drive died Thursday, February 25, 1999, at Henry County Medical Center.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday at Shady Grove Baptist Church where she was a member. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation is planned noon, 8:00 p.m. Sunday and after 10:00 a.m. Monday at McEvoy Funeral Home.

Born in Paris on March 24, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Robert Payton George and Ruby Mae Hart George. A graduate of Grove High School and Toler's Business College, she retired in 1980 after 24 years of service with the U. S. Department of Defense's Bureau of Naval Personnel in Arlington, Virginia.

She leaves two sisters, Martha Carol George of Paris and Rebecca Sue Lowery of Jacksonville, Florida; three brothers, Robert Harold George and wife Betty of Fishersville, Virginia, Max Gerald George and wife Lenore of Manassas, Virginia and John Thomas George and wife Doris of Fairfax City, Virginia; three aunts, Rose George of Murray, Eron Carrington of Embarrass, Wisconsin, and Sophie George of Vincennes, Indiana; 10 nieces and nephews; 13 great-nieces and great-nephews; and two great-great-nephews.
