Hillcrest Social Club owner and
operator Roger Allen Heath, 69, of Paris died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at
his residence. His wife, Sharyn Cherry Heath, survives. They were married on Oct. 31, 1966. His body was cremated. A private service is planned later. Ridgeway Funeral Home handled arrangements. Born in Paris on April 25, 1943, he was a son of the late Harold and Marjorie Owen Heath. Heath had owned and operated the Hillcrest Social Club, formerly the Silver Hook, since December 1967. A U.S. Navy veteran, he was a life member of VFW, AMVETS and American Legion. He also was a member of the Dresden Elks Lodge and the Moose Lodge. Besides his wife, he leaves one son: Brad (Melissa) Heath of Paris; two sisters: Phyllis Clayton and Kaye Brogdon, both of Paris; three brothers: Lonnie and Tommy Heath, both of Paris, and Steven Heath of Nashville; a brother-in-law: Steven Cherry of Paris; and lifelong friend: Kerry “Packrat” Collins of Springville. He also was preceded in death by two brothers: Kenneth and Gary “Cotton” Heath. Memorials may be made to Community Development Services, attention Faye Floyd, 455 Hannings Lane, Martin, TN 38237. |
