Vietnam Veteran Charles Atwood McDonald Dies Friday A young Vietnam Veteran, Charles Atwood McDonald of 2-B Washington Court, died Friday at 3:30 A.M. in Veterans Hospital, Nashville. He was 22 years old. Funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:30 P.M. at the Progressive Baptist Church with the Rev. G. R. Williams officating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. The body is at Williams and Rawls Funeral Home, where a wake will be held Saturday night from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. A native of Mississippi, he was born February 5, 1949 to Clarence E. and Annie Lou Brown McDonald, who survive. On September 4, 1970 he married Mrs. Fredda McNeil, who survives. He was a member of Progressive Baptist Church. Survivors in addition to his wife and parents include two brothers, Marshall Lee McDonald and Emanuel McDonald, Both of Paris.
