Carole Mann Owens

Former Campbell Rhea factory part owner and Mitchum worker Carole Owens, 75, of the Elkhorn community died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, at Henry County Medical Center.

Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at McEvoy Funeral Home.

Randy Stephens will officiate. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.

Chosen as pallbearers are Paul Maxwell, John Russell, Bob Milam, Glenn and Larry Wimberley and Bob Anderson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Morris and David Ingle.

Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Saturday and after 11 a.m. Sunday.

Born Sept. 6, 1932, in Paris, she was a daughter of Carl T. and Marie Hutchens Mann, now both deceased.

She was married on Oct. 1, 1950, to Joel Owens, who died March 13, 2001.

She was a member of Sulphur Well Church of Christ. She and her husband were part owners of Campbell Rhea Manufacturing until 1985, when they retired to their family farm in the Elkhorn community.

She leaves two daughters: Donna (Bobby) Milam of Springville and Deborah Morris of Palm Harbor, Fla.; two grandchildren: Sarah Marie Milam and Russell Lee Milam, both of Springville; three nieces: Beverly Bunch, Martha Pitts and Johnna Alexander; two nephews: Paul and Phillip Maxwell; and several great-nieces, great-nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.

She also was preceded in death by a sister: Camille Mann Russell.
