Shirley Jean Cook Raney ~ Obituary

Shirley Jean Raney, age 67 of Paris, TN died Wednesday October 22, 2014 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

She married Roy Gilbert Raney Sr. May 28, 1965 and he preceded in death December 5, 2005. Shirley was a retired US Mail Processor in Tampa, FL and she was a Baptist.

Shirley was born January 8, 1947 in Mansfield, TN to the late Otha Cook and the late Vonelva Dolan Cook. She was raised from the age of 4 by her Step Mother, the late Beatrice Cook.

She is survived by One Daughter, Kristy (Barry) Stroll of Yuma, AZ; One Brother, Claude Cook of Paris, TN ; One Half-Sister, Cindy (Mike) Noss of Paris, TN; One Half-Brother, Malcolm Cook of Paris, TN; Six Grandchildren, Briana Stroll, Kody Stroll and Kaily Stroll of Arizona, Elijah Raney serving in the US Navy, Mikayla Raney and Gabriel Raney of Michigan.

Besides her husband and parents, Shirley was also preceded in death by a son, Roy Raney Jr.

Ridgeway Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She will be cremated with a Private Graveside Memorial Service to be held later in the week
