Also in college, she was a Campus Leader, an ROTC Sponsor, a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, and listed in Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities. With her family many fun hours were spent on the lake waterskiing. She was always ready for a good tennis game, and as an avid walker, she enjoyed that time spent with neighbors and friends. Her grandchildren were her delight, and she experienced much joy playing and spending time with them.

A student of the Word of God, Nancy for years attended Bible studies, taught Sunday School , and was influential in sharing her faith and spiritually impacting the lives of many. "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith" 2 Timothy 4:7 describes her life as a Christian.
