Freddy Rhea Wimberley, 62, of
Henry died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at Vanderbilt Medical Center after being
involved in an automobile wreck Tuesday. His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Friday. Hugh Barksdale, Tom Smith and Mike Wimberley will officiate. Burial will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery in Cottage Grove. Named as pallbearers were: Steve and Josh Crouch, Lynn and Garrett Rawlings, Ryan Allen, Kevin Reynolds and Ross Wimberley. Wimberley was born Aug. 28, 1947, in Paris to the late Walter Fred Wimberley and Vinell Gallimore Pennington. He was married Aug. 14, 2001, to Leisa Hayes Wimberley, who survives. He was a member of Cottage Grove Baptist Church and attended Henry United Methodist Chruch. Wimberley was the former owner of Wimberley Dozer, Dirt and Gravel. He formerly worked at Kentucky-Tennessee Clay Company and Wimberley and Sons Sawmill and was a truck driver and a farmer. He is survived by two daughters: Patty Jo (Lynn) Rawlings of Sevierville and Whitney Reynolds and fiance Ryan Allen of Brentwood; a son: Kevin (Amanda) Reynolds of Puryear; A sister: Renee (Steve) Crouch of Paris; four grandchildren: Garrett and Rylie Jo Rawlings, Nathan Scott and Kylie Reynolds; a cousin: Mike Wimberley; and several other cousins, aunts and an uncle. He was preceded in death by a son: Christopher Rhea Wimberley. Memorial contributions can be sent to the Henry United Methodist Church at P.O.
