The Paris-Henry County Sports Hall of Fame
will hold its 13th Annual Banquet at
Paris  Convention  Center, 1510 East Wood Street (Hampton Inn)
Saturday, May 16, 2008 at 6:30 p.m.

Five Henry County athletic greats will be feted at the 6:30 p.m. May 16,  Paris-Henry County Sports Hall of Fame banquet at the Paris Convention Center, 1510 East Wood St.

Slated for induction into the hall this year are Tony Foster, Bobby Williams, Rhea Hart, the late Dorothy Bruce Bourne ('44) and the late Charles Scholes ('53). The Distinguished Service Award is being given to Jim Adams ('56).

Birmingham Southern University athletic director Joe Dean Jr. will be the guest speaker for the banquet.

The athletic greats include Bourne, who starred in basketball at Grove High School and in AAU competition. Scholes was a football star at Grove while Williams coached and taught chemistry at that school. Hart was an outstanding basketball player at Cottage Grove with Foster starring in athletics at Henry County High School.
