The Paris-Henry County Sports Hall of Fame
will hold its 13th Annual Banquet at
Paris Convention Center, 1510 East Wood Street (Hampton Inn)
April 14, 2009 at 6:30 p.m.

The Paris-Henry County Sports Hall of Fame will induct five new members during a banquet at 6:30 p.m. April 14 at the Paris Convention Center.

The five inductees, listed alphabetically, are:

1. Paula Carter Bell, Henry County High School golfer, who was two-time TSSAA girl's state champion.

2. Billy Lee Howard, Jr., Central High School and Union University basketball standout.

3. Chris Hudgins, Henry County High School three-sport star.

4. Dan Robison (awarded posthumously), Grove High School athlete in football, basketball and baseball in the 1920's, as well as coach,teacher and official in 1930-40's. Played college basketball at Cumberland Univ.

5. Lance Smith, Henry County High School baseball player, who went on to University of Tennessee, playing baseball on scholarship until graduation.

The Distinguished Service Award will be presented to the late Bill Davis, a former Post-Intelligencer business manager who worked tirelessly with the Optimist Club of Paris and as statistician for the HCHS football program.

Henry County High School football head coach Joe Gaddis will be the guest speaker at the banquet.
