61st REUNION

Members of the Grove High School Class of 1948 recently met for their 61st-year reunion. The group had dinner at Paris Landing State Park Inn on Sept. 25 for dinner. They gathered again for brunch on Sept. 26 in the fellowship hall of First Presbyterian Church. After brunch, they enjoyed activities of Eye Full of Paris on the court square, and toured the Lee Academy for the Arts and other places of interest. A banquet was held the night of Sept. 26 at the church. The program, titled “Memories of Elementary Schools” was presented by Ann Brown, speaking about Shell’s Academy and Central Point; Elaine Melton, Osage; Malcolm Council, Robert E. Lee; and Mary Alice Campbell, Atkins-Porter. Jack Brown of St. Albans, W.Va., was the moderator. Malcolm Council led the memorial service. There were 23 class members and 13 guests from West Virginia, Texas, Georgia, Mississippi and Tennessee in attendance.
