The 1938-39 girls'
basketball squad of Grove High School has had a very good season. They were unlucky in the
first round of the Henry County tournament, drawing Springvllle, who ultimately became
champions, after their thrilling 33 to 32 game. They came back to make a good showing in
the Nineteenth District tournament held at Paris. By virtue of this showing the team
became eligible to enter the West Tennessee Regional Meet at Millington, Tennessee, where
for the first time we won the first round. |
