I was at Grove High for the year between 1959 and 1960. I came from California and had to
leave 1 year later, to my young, great regret.
Anyone remember me? I remember a great many of you and would love to know how you

Comments:
Bobby Mitchell ('66) points out that Mrs. Montgomery taught 7th grade
social studies, Tennessee history, geography and civics, NOT english. So,
how did I learn so much English from a social studies teacher? She was a
really, really good social studies teacher.

The band (Barons) and myself enjoyed playing for the young class of '68
this past weekend..as we have for the '65, '66 and '67...one more class to
go!! We're still looking good even after 40 years...right?

Bobby Ray Prince recently contacted the Class of '67 to infom us that classmate Jerre
Montgomery had recently passed in Nashville
after a battle with cancer. We will all miss her because she was a very sharp person and a
lot of fun. Many of you may remember taking
English from her mom, Mrs. Montgomery, in middle school and learning way too much
English!! I personally had Miss Carter at
Robert E. Lee Elementary and then Mrs. Montgomery at Grove... WOW!! Two Terrors! And I
never had any trouble in English after that...
