| The funeral service for semi-retired sitter and longtime Charlie’s Quik Mart
owner and operator Carolyn Jean King Bullen of Paris will be at 1 p.m.
Saturday at McEvoy Funeral Home. Jonathan Smith and Bill Moody will officiate. Burial will be in Bevil Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. today and after 11 a.m. Saturday. Bullen, 75, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville. Born Dec. 19, 1937, in Paris, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence Porter King and Lillian Pearl Pierce King. She was married on June 24, 1966, to Charles Robert Bullen, who died June 9, 2011. Bullen attended Fairview Baptist Church and enjoyed spending time with her family. She leaves one daughter: Cynthia Jill Ball of Paris; one son: Charles J. “Joby” Bullen of Nashville; one sister: Betty Holcomb of Garland, Texas; two brothers: Bobby King of Russell Springs, Ky., and Wayne King of New Port Richey, Fla.; and two grandchildren: Racheal Danielle Bullen and Christopher McCurdy. She also was preceded in death by a sister: Lillian Joy King in infancy; and three brothers: Dan, Horace and Morris King. |
