Henry County native Billy Donald Mizell, 81, of Silver Springs, Md., died March 20, 2016. His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday at East Wood Church of Christ in Paris, with burial to follow at Van Dyke Grove Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10. Officiating will be Bill Mitchusson, with Bill Williams giving the eulogy and Jerald Sykes leading singing. A memorial service will be held May 7 at the Silver Springs Church of Christ, where he was a member and former deacon. Going Home Cremation Services is handling arrangements. Mizell was born Aug. 24, 1934, in Mansfield to the late Elsie Cole and Thomas Mizell. He was married in 1954 to Sharon Bridges Mizell, who survives. They were married for 62 years. Mizell grew up in Paris and graduated from Grove High School and University of Tennessee, Martin Campus. He later moved to the Washington, D.C., area, where he owned a surveying company. He was an avid carnival glass collector. Besides his wife, he is survived by two children; four grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and a sister: Lillian Comer of Paris. He also was preceded in death by a sister: Alice Mae Mizell; and a brother: Earl T. Mizell.
