Huntington 0 - Grove 49 - Everybody but the waterboy played and played well. Dunlap
kicked five straight extra points. Gross, McAbee, Humphreys, Seymour, and Kidd Neese
shared scoring honors.
Humboldt 0 - Grove 6 - Grove finally got a break when with four minutes to
go Clayton, substitute center, intercepted a pass and raced 83 yards to
victory.
McKenzie 0 - Grove 13 - "Dopey" Humphreys played the second and
third quarters unconsious. Everybody knows he is especially dangerous in this condition.
Trenton 6 - Grove 7 - Humphreys made the touchdown and captain Wyatt ran
over the extra point. Horobetz and Jennings looking good in the line, with Neese and
Gross looking best in the backfield.
Greenfield 14 - Grove 18 - Greenfield, Butler, Scott, Newman, Captain Wyatt
and Sevier did good work for Grove. |
